Ahhh... Neil Young "Old Man" - yes indeed. Love that song...

It's crazy what I've been up to. Coordinating all the performance (both theatrical & fire), curating all the art, helping wrangle decor... for a HUGE burner bash in chicago, and because this is Chicago, it's considered a rave. Still flyin' under the radar at... how old am I? 28? No, 32? Yeah, that's it. 32. hehe.

You feel old, buddy?? I coulda given birth to over half the people who will be in attendance at this shindig... at least in the age-sense. I think that would be physically impossible, since we're expecting about 300 people and I don't think I could be a mother to 151+ bebes. Ay yi yi.

an old obsession is back in the picture. i'm like a kid in a candy store around her.... ugh.

Funny how the past never quite goes away, isn't it? smile

I love your new photo (in your "Skottie's pad" pics folder). You look so sweet and soulful.

I have yet to finish a Cormac McCarthy novel. All of that macho atavism, emotional desolation and brutal realism is just a tad too much for my magical realist heart. blush

Ciao, darlin'.

You are NOT pathetic, darling...you're simply full of pathos. A true, tortured artist. And we love you for it. smile

That guitar is a thing of beauty. And I adore the Stooges video. The announcer seems hilariously out of place, like he should be down at the Elk's Club calling the numbers at a bingo game or something. What a scream. Iggy looked trashily beautiful then; nowadays he resembles a dessicated strip of bacon.

A good evening to you, sir. It is a pleasure knowing you.

Yeah, I kind of freaked out when I saw Jack. Apparently, he's playing a cancer patient in an upcoming film. (that's the word in the Celeb group here)
Not that you asked but MizVixen did so here's my opinion, the Oscars SUCKED! I don't want Ellen to get the blame though. I thought she was really good as the hostess but the writers really need to be fired for sure. Some of them anyway. And, the focus needs to be more on the big awards etc. So the show can be maybe an hour shorter. eeek
Grass grows in Vegas year round too but right now, we don't have any. When we moved in the house, the back yard isn't landscaped so I have a lovely dirt pile blackeyed
I miss your book excerpt and your HFSW feature frown. wink
Have a good week.

Hey, kid. Me again. biggrin

Funny you should mention Groucho, because I recently watched a very, VERY odd Otto Preminger film called Skidoo, with Marx playing God, Jackie Gleason feigning an acid-trip, Micky Rooney as a bookie/jailbird, etc. Interesting, though at times mighty SILLY...and CREEPY. Groucho is QUITE the lecherous old deity. Ugh.

Seen it?

Well, hope you are havin' a mighty fine weekend, monsieur.

Adieu!!
