i'm home, for now. nice to see that i wasn't missed.
so the Atlantic City trip was fantastic. won a little bit of money, lost a bit more. really didn't spend a lot of time in the casinos. i did however spend a large amount of time floating around in the ocean, which was so fantastic. i haven't been in any ocean in about 5 years. it was long overdue. the salt water felt wonderful. the ride up there was a nightmare. it rained for 7 hours straight. very, very lame. my fantastic girlfriend put up with me for the entire time cursing the skies and threatening any trucker that dared pass me. it was great to have her there. and speaking of her, 1 year anniversary is 10 days away. you know the last time that happened? never. i'm so in love with this girl it's disgusting. moving on.....
one of the reasons i went up there was to go to my aunts wedding. well, union i suppose. she's gay and they recently legalized same sex unions in New Jersey, so there was a party to attend. it was really nice. the service was on a big party boat they had rented. so for three hours the lady and i sailed around the back bays of Atlantic City, drinking, eating, laughing and loving. it was fantastic.
i'm currently having my brain melted by the Beastie Boys new album. everyone go out and buy it. don't think, just do it. who would have guessed Mike D would be such a dirty, jam band funky little hippie. i suggest listening to that album with headphones and a side of pot.
the Tool concert the other night was "fuck yeah" good. drum solo madness at the end. blow your whole mind away.
i'm about to go out of town again. this time with the sister and not the girlfriend. gonna be in Colorado visiting family that i have no interest whatsoever in visiting. 4 days and 3 nights with 5 of the most ridiculous people ever and my grandfather. there is a very interesting side story to go along with this trip however. anyone who knew me a year ago around here or in my personal life know that there is a very special somebody in Colorado. you would also know that i would have killed someone or stole from a nun if it meant getting me to Colorado. well, the time has come to go, and nobody had to die.
the circumstances are waaaayyy different these days, but i do still look forward to meeting her. i expect it to be fun, uncomfortable, interesting, bittersweet, and lovely all at the same time. we shall see.
i'm very happy that the World Series of Pop Culture is back on VH1. i loved that show last summer and have dug every second of it so far this year. me and megan have a pretty sweet little contest going on.
i just realized that my sister is going to be here tomorrow. i guess it just occurred to me how close this next trip is. i've really got to get some stuff together. and i'd imagine that my sister is waiting for some directions.
here's a list of the big summer movies i haven't seen yet. spiderman 3, shrek 3, pirates 3, fantastic four 2, hostel 2, harry potter whatever, transformers, oceans 13. i suck at movies.
i did see knocked up. i laughed.
i got to call my sister.
go listen to the new Beastie Boys.
go buy a print from kaylee. she's cute.
