ok, in the last week and a half, there was thanksgiving, wasn't so bad, i volunteered to come in to work for $27.50, that was like a $200 night, i'm looking forward to this paycheck. we had family come over for dinner, i was soooo tired from working all night before, then having like a 2 hour nap before having to get up and socialize with the relations. i was supposed to have thursday, friday & saturday nights off this weekend, but they fucked up my schedule and had me working friday night. i was kinda pissed about that, i was supposed to head up to kitchener for octoberfest. and the walmart stayed open till 12 that night too, so i had customers running around in the store while i was trying to work for an hour.....i forgot how much i hate walmart shoppers
i had to serve customers, that's not part of my job description, i stock shelves, when the store is closed, i'm left alone to do my thing at my own pace, however i wish to do so....that can't happen with people in the store.
but that night ended, and i got to go read my book, the witching hour, just finnished it, i enjoyed it thoroughly.
and saturday night i did make it to kitchener, but not to octoberfest, we ended up just staying at my buddies' place and got pretty trashed, ordered pizza, played cards. i was awake for 8 hours and had consumned 6 beers before i ate anything....i was pretty drunk. i ended up puking then passed out in my friend's bed cuz he was out at his girlfriend's place.
but i was back to work last night, we had a new guy, and i got stuck with him....he's kinda slow....even with his help i ended up getting less work done than i usually do, training new people is very unproductive for me. i showed him how to read upc's and how to locate where shit goes on the shelves, and i even spotted everything for him (i took the boxes of stock and placed them in front of the section they belong in) all he had to do was look in the 4 foot section, and i usually did my best at keeping it right in front of the home....and it took him FOREVER. i do like it when i get help in the toys department, especially now that christmas is comming and i'm getting way more stock than i need, but i'd rather work alone then have this guy in there with me again.
