The new Transformers movie kicks ass. Three words: GIANT FUCKING ROBOTS! I was at the screening last night at Botcon, and Tyrese and the blonde girl in the movie showed up for about a minute to say hello to the fans.
Anyway, I went into the movie expecting to be completely disappointed. As you all know, Michael Bay has made "a few" changes to our beloved Transformers and their story. Off the bat, I know this isn't going to be G1, so I expected that, and it wasn't G1. I'm a G1 fanboy and I was especially pissed about Hugo Weaving. I was surprised that with the limited character development, they still managed to have the Autobots mostly resemble their namesake G1 characterizations.

I concur with emxero's review. This movie was amazing, best movie I've seen all year. I was very satisfied. I've been disappointed by every movie this year, none have been great (I did like Ghost Rider a lot though). I will be seeing it this Monday once again with my brother. I give it three thumbs up!

transformers was amazing! but i definitly don't as much about as you do lol. i don't know if i would say movie of the year tho. 300? yes? no? wait, did that come out this year? i can't even remember...maybe you're right then. but ghost rider? ew.

Scorponok? Thhough that was an Insecticon, they were G1... Then again I don't remember VBarricade from G1 either... I had the 4 Comic series at one point with the G1 line up, where the hell did those go..? Hrm. Trip to the attic time.
