The whole situation with Sandy is a no-go. When I came into work Monday, I learned that two people just got fired. I don't know the details, but I heard that they were in a relationship together. One of the guys was married and he was carrying on with this girl at work, and they were canned. Then I heard that if you get a divorce that the owner will can you. Oh shit.

The owner is a hardcore Catholic, so I can understand the reasoning behind his actions, but still, it seems a little harsh. I don't want to risk me not getting hired for me having a relationship at work. I really need to play up the good side of me and not let them find out about the darker side of me, or not necessarily darker, but darker to them. They'll have issues with a guy who listens to heavy metal and who checks out girls at work and has no problem with having a relationship with a single mother. Jane already told me not to get involved with Sandy because of that reason and because of what just went down.

There was a meeting today between the owner and the supervisor of my dept., and I guess I was discussed. The supervisor was really pushing to have me hired on permanently. The owner said, and this is second hand info, something to the effect that he's interested, but not promising anything yet. Eee this is scary. If I don't get hired, I'll be really screwed. I can't see how they wouldn't hire me. I just need to take my mind off of that and concentrate on my work. I can't worry about it, but at the same time, I'm worried because what am I going to do to survive?
