Well it looks like we'll never get our money back from the US Indie fiasco. A local band from Beaumont questioned us about it and then sent us a link to an article about how it looks like Maureen and Cathouse Records are nothing but con artists. I can't believe how incredibly stupid and naive we were. Just goes to show there are suckers born every minute.
The next step after all this is going back to the studio. I figure the week of 8/21 is when we'll do it. Phil has already ordered the tapes and he's just waiting on the delivery. We're also trying to plan a mini-tour for New England now in the Fall. We'll be hitting that in a caravan of our 3 cars. All we can do is learn from our mistakes and become stronger from them. This band won't be brought down!
What other excitement has gone on? Well, I have a huge crater in my mouth where my one upper molar used to be. Had that sucker pulled yesterday. The option was a $2000+ painful root canal or pull the tooth. Since I have no insurance the choice was plain to see. Luckily the hole in my mouth isn't as it was my second to last tooth on my upper left hand side. You can't even really notice it gone. Makes me want to take my dental care more seriously now. I have an appointment to go back in early September to get the rest of my teeth looked at. What's scaring me is I'm starting to get a dull pain every so often in the other side of my mouth. Hope I won't lose none of those suckers. At least now I have some Vicodine to ease the pain. That stuff kinda scares me. I could become a real pill popper if I'm not careful. That stuff is gooooood.
Well the new version of Madden 2006 is now out. Like the nerd I am, I lined up to get on the very day it went on sale. At least I wasn't bad enough to camp out at Midnight for it!
Found out The Black Crowes will be playing 2 Philly area shows come late September. At the old Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA. It's a wonderful old theater built in the 20's. The acoustics are really good. Never had the pleasure of seeing a show there so I can't wait. I'm really, really getting into the Crowes. Even signed up for their message board. Of course my Punk bandmates are teasing me non-stop especially since they're all going to see Social Distortion on one of those dates. Sorry, I'll always have my classic rock/jam band roots!
I'm trying to convince C. into going to see them in Oklahoma City. Hope she makes "Brad" wanna take her. I told her to use any means neccessary.
Speak of the devil, she just called me as I was typing that. Looks like she won't be able to go after all. 
We've gotten to talk and chat a lot recently. Seems like the Summer just flew by and we rarely even got time for us. Since I have the scanner here for now I was able to send her some pics from the days of yore. From baby and kid pics to the skinny pics of me from 10 years ago. She sent me some more pics too. It makes us connect even more.
Work still sucks as ever. We're now on the 5th night time cook. The new cook's name is Carlo and he's a big Deadhead. Oh, I found out why I had to work the one night, our dopey chef is trying to become a salesperson for Sysco food distributors. Guess the fucker did bite off more than he could chew. If he leaves I'll be really pissed. Not for the fact that he's going, but for changing the menu around and getting them to stay open at nights and then leaving. Thanks for changing it all around then bailing fuckface! Grrrr...
That's about it for my dopey miserable existence. At least the band keeps me going. Practices have been really tight of late. We even throw in some one time covers such as a Devo medley and we kicked out Social D's "Sick Boy" the other day. Cripes, the harmonies were spot on too. Is it time to pop a Vicodine yet??
