Forgot to post this last night when I had the chance. Fuck last minute shows, never again! Well, at least that friggin' far away!
One Thirty One, College Point/Queens/NYC 2/16/06
Everything about this friggin' show was last minute and/or hectic. From finding out about it 9:00 the night before, to almost not even playing it 'coz of Andy spraining his thumb in a tragic falling in the shower incident as many of you read with the many "it's on again/off again" bulletins posted yesterday, to not getting on the road 'till near 7 for a 3 hour ride with the show starting at 10, to getting lost both in and out of NYC, to playing in "enemy territory" as the place was a sports bar with plenty of NY team memorabilia (I still sported my Eagles hoodie and hat proudly and busted on Ben and Timeless about the playoff game). Wound up being the "deadliner" and played like a 15 minute set. I still had a somewhat good time and at least we made another connection. Maybe we'll have more notice and better maps next time. NYC still scares the bejesus outta me.

And as far as Andrea goes, we exchanges a few messages and I added her on my space. She's quite happy in Scottland and has a musician boyfriend. Water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, I know I've ranted previously here and there. I think a lot of that was the hurt how things turned out. Still mind blowing that she reached out to me. Time heals all wounds I guess? Maybe I am starting to show a little maturity after all.
