It's been a nice drawn out and somewhat boring week. No complaints though, I'm enjoying being a bum!
Christmas came and went. Got some unexpected prezzies from sissy. Items I need like another pair of fat guy sweatpants, more tighty whities, a sheet set for my bed, and an Eagles pillow. Best present of all of course was the Eagles beating the Cowboys! I mainly lazed around and watched the "24 hours of A Christmas Story" marathon on TBS. I did go visit Andy for a bit to check out his Nintendo Wii. Later in the week I stopped by and helped him make all the local lunatics into characters on there. Nothing like playing Baseball with a team made up myself, Sheilds, Jackie, Ivan, Kite, and my son among others. It really is a hoot playing it.
I've been wasting the majority of my time filling out dopey surveys on my my space page. It's become quite the addiction. Also leaving comments back and forth with Snowy is fun. I was happy to hear she got her Xmas package A-OK. She'll represent the Sheckies well over in the UK.
I wound up having cyber with one of my my space friends the other evening. Never would've expected that and it was quite fun. I'm not really a big fan of that being it's hard to wank and type at the same time! LOL! Phone is much nicer.
Tina called and said she'll be down Tuesday night. Might have to sneak her in for a visit. I just hope her asthma doesn't act up like the last time she visited!
I'm really hoping to plan a roadtrip during my time off in February. I could visit George in Greensboro, NC then visit Martha in Pelham, AL then hopefully head for Mandevile, LA to see Pete and hopefully go to Mardi Gras as well. Andy said he would go along for the ride, Penny even thought about as well. What really would be cool if we could play a couple shows on borrowed equipment along the way. Ah, it's nice to dream, but I don't even know if I'll have any money saved.
The band has a show up in Clifton. NJ tonight. We're at exit 0 of the Parkway, they're exit 154. Really don't know what to expect as Penny set this one up. The bar looks pretty cool. I'll be hoisting them tonight. I'm hoping one of my buddies from the old Zep board can make it out. It's right near his hometown. Known this dude for 5 years now online, would be nice to finally meet and drink some beers.
Yeah, we as a band have to sit down and figure out our plans for the upcoming year. I know we need more merch. Still waiting to see if someone is gonna put out "Fear & Loathing in NJ". We've been offered to be on a 4 band - 4 song split. And we'd like to head out on the road again come Summer. Ugh, don't really want to think about this crap right now.
