Hurricane East, Wildwood, NJ 12/6/05
Another last second show. I only found out about it the day before. I had gotten an invite from on of the bands on My Space and saw we were on the bill. So I call up Andy about it and the dope forget to mention it to us. But in his defense, he did tell Dom he would call him back to confirm it. He never did and we wound up on the bill anyway. So couldn't even promote this one 'till the day of. At least a couple of our friends made it out, Matt, Murdoch, & Jessie.
My trusty drum roadie George had the night off as I would be using Dom's drum kit. Actually, I wanted the fucker to hang out but he never called. Andy wound up having to go back and get his amp head as well as pick up Pete from House Divided. Wags was there for our entertainment as well.
We were set to open it up. I must of have been on speed last night 'coz Penny was complaining how fast I was playing. The fucker did nail his bass spot on "Sheckie Stomp" regardless. I fucked up "Lena" trying to be a smart ass when I tried a drum fill during Penny's spit he was being quiet on. Oh well, "Never again!". I still thought we played a great set. We got a ton of compliments when we got off stage.
13th Child played next. It was the first time I've seen these guys and I thought they played well. A more modern Metal type of sound. House Divided closed things up and played a great set. Remind me to buy Pete a locking bass strap as it kept falling off all night long. They have the classic Metal sound down pat with just a touch of a modern sound. Great stuff as usual.
