It's an exciting day for foot and burn fetishists alike: I've posted a pic of the burns that Holly suffered at the Labor Day BBQ; see "HOLLY'S BURNS" in my pics. The image is so graphic that I debated whether or not I should Photoshop WWE Superstar Kane's mask over it to keep children from having nightmares and mothers' milk from souring in the teat....

What a joyous Labor Day BBQ... there's nothing I like better than fancy meat and cheap beer, unless it's putting out a grass fire in the neighbor's yard with Pabst Blue Ribbon. That made me feel like a real 9-11 firefighter, and what better way to celebrate Labor Day than by playing the role of a working class hero, if only for a few fleeting...

Hey, it was real nice meeting you at the bbq.
Is Holly's burn any better? I went and grabbed her some ice after I saw it happen.
Anyway I hope you are well.

and what would be your general vicinity tonight?
Wednesday night karaoke at Bush Gardens was excellent fun, and big ups to the staff for letting us murder the songs on what was supposed to be a karaoke-free night for them. It was also great to finally meet some SGPDXers and put some real names to fake names. Next time, though, everyone should wear nametags, because I'm genetically incapable of remembering more than two...

I heard my name ...
Thanks for that.
How much to get my band in your favourites?
Shit, no ... Nevermind. I don't have a band anymore.
I'm off to the recordist group. Word.

PS - I have that same genetic deficiency. I don't remember your real facking name. But DON'T TELL ME HERE! Ha.
So the first handyman who tried to fix the leak in the wall of my apartment on Friday ripped out the drywall around it and accidentally made the punctured pipe spray water, rather than drip it. I used up half of my dry towels plugging the leak until the plumbers could come over. Next came the plumbers who thought they sealed off the pipe but...

Thursdays at Embers kill me. There's always really important stuff for me to do in the morning that requires a clear head and sharp focus, two things I lack after my miscreant friends keep me out drinking until the wee hours.
Today I had to wake up at 7:45 AM to let a nice fellow by the name of Bill into my apartment so he...

I'm glad I wasn't just imagining things. Otherwise, I'd have to go back to the doctors and their sharp needles and electrodes. You should have come on down... it was a groovy, rockin' time.
I'm back from two beautiful, humid, mosquito-infested weeks in Vermont. I would have loved to stay longer, but it's probably a good thing that I didn't. My cats have gone almost completely feral, having had the run of the place for a fortnight, and I discovered that there's a water leak somewhere in the wall between my guest bedroom and my neighbor's bathroom. There's nothing...

Today I had to wake up at 7:45 AM to let a nice fellow by the name of Bill into my apartment so he could chisel out half the wall of my guest bedroom closet (because there's some sort of water leak between my apartment and my neighbor's that's warping the wall and growing mold like a petri dish). Then I've got to take a conference call at 10:00 with the people who make the Myst video games and try to sound coherent, depsite the fact that I've had only 3 1/2 hours of sleep and am still slightly drunk.
On the bright side, I found this:

So it's not all bad.

For my first journal entry, I'd just like to say that I'm going out of town for two weeks. So there. See you lovely critters when I get back around Aug. 19.

Welcome back!
It was cool meeting you last night.
