I posted a couple of funny pictures from my Boston trip and will be posting more as I caprture them from my DV cam.
I am a chat whore. I've wondered if people in the chat are creeped out because I'm almost 30. I don't feel 30 though, I still feel like a college kid. Although now I teach college.
A lot of my friends and I are turning 30 this year. They've been going out like ducks in a shooting gallery. BANG! 30. BANG! BANG! 30.30. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! 30. 30. 30. 30. 30. I finally understand what Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon is all about. It's about turning 30 but not feeling 30. You've been preparing for adulthood only to find that you are already an adult. Because now, you're 30. And it doesn't get any more adult than that. We all go through this. It's part of our collective human experience. There's a certain poetic synchronicity to the fact that it was released 30 years ago this year and that I was born 30 years ago this year. An album about turning 30 is turning 30 this year. Just like me.
All that you touch, all that you feel, all that you buy, beg, borrrow or steal. All you create, and all you destroy. All that you eat, and everyone you meet. All that is now and all that is gone and everything under the sun is in tune but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
That's from Brain Damage. I love that song. It's about all that your life will ever be.
Time is relentless.
