have I told you how much I love my coffee perculator. In the am I just plug it in and it makes that wonderful gloopgloop noise and fills the house full of coffee smell. it is so friggin domestic. It makes me want to read the new york times and eat coddled eggs.

In other news... the cat feud is at a stalemate. new interloper stays in her room all meek. My cat stares and stares and a whole symphony of discordant growls, rumbles, gurgles, and hisses emerge from deep in her nappy neck. But that's it. Nothing more than a bit of attitude.
Other other news. I'll be teaching an American Studies Class at University of Miami in pop culture and media (probably, I still have to write the syllabus). 50 students! groan.
AND I have a job teaching two classes at Cleveland State in the Spring. Which means... winter move! ugh. but still, at least I now have a plan!
AND, I have both "Devil Fish" and "Piranha," two wonderfully terrible 80's movies waiting to be watched.
update: wow. Devilfish was awfully, painfully bad. I loved it. others couldn't stomach it. I giggled demonically and clapped with glee. ooow. it hurts so good.
