Stumped by a four year old.
My kid was sitting with me last night and looked up and asked me the following question.
"Daddy, why do dogs have whiskers?"
I have no clue, I know why cats have whiskers, but never really though why dogs have whiskers. I have owned many dogs, and i cant really say if its for judging where they can fit their head (i had a dog that constantly tried to fit his head into and under things with dire results every time).
So instead of cheating and looking it up online, i merely stated that i didnt know, and she looked at me and said "not very smart today are you?' to which i replied, "you are the one who asked." She smiled and said, "I am just a kid, you are the old guy, you should know these things." Shes right.
I hate being shown up by a kid. Looks like liver and onions with broccoli for dinner tonight, I may be dumb, but I still know how to let her know whos boss

leukemia wow that is way big, it's so way cool that it is in remission!
actually, one of the few things my poor little body could digest as a child was ground up liver. perhaps that is what originally turned me off to the animals. hmmmm.
