Yesterday was a great day. It was just filled with everything that matters to me the most. I woke up to my daughter patting my face asking if I would come and cuddle with her on the couch and watch cartoons. We sat and watched cartoon network and ate lucky charms together in peace, letting the morning rituals slide until later that afternoon. I had friends come over to help me with her (I had oral surgery and was afraid that I wouldnt be up to the task), and it was fun, almost like a functioning dysfunctional family. We painted, made arts and crafts, played dress up, and basically did all the things you forget to do when you are trying to make ends meet and are under the gun. Priorities changed and all was well for a while.
I got a phone call from an absolute angel; she always knows just when to time her calls somehow, when they will make me feel the best. Her calls always make me walk a little lighter, smile a little wider, and just feel like I matter a little more. I wish all of you could have this feeling on a daily basis. It is truly wonderful.
I dropped Sierra off to her mom's, got the usual BS from her about this and that, and watched again helplessly as Sierra cried and stated that she wanted to stay with me. I had to comfort her as best I could, and it never seems to be enough (for me anyway). I pretended to slip on the ice all the way back to the car just to make her belly laugh (Sierra finds that when I am being a dork, thats when daddy is the funniest dad ever), got a wonderful smile and a thumbs up from her letting me know everything is going to be cool and that she cant wait till Wednesday to see me again.
I get home to a house full of amazing friends, worried about me, and wanting to get me out to get me out of the ferocious mood I've been in lately, we decide to go see Big Fish. It was a hit with all of us, and for a moment, none of us seemed to have any major life problems. That is until we get to the Greek restaurant. I am famished by this point, and realize that because of the surgery, I have to basically eat mushy stuff. So I had mushy stuff with a side of mushy stuff, with tomato juice to drink and mushy stuff for dessert, getting ribbed about it from all angles. The King of Skulls on a geriatric diet. Admittedly, it was funny, and it did my spirit good to stop focusing on the negative and really enjoy the time out with friends. I highly recommend that you guys make time to do this for yourselves and some point.
I do hope that all of you great and amazing people experience all the warmth, peace, and caring you so richly deserve.
Till next time, Peace.

Hey! Glad you had a good time!
Don't worry, Welntaod isn't an Ax murderer, I'm still around, I'm just lazy with the dial up. Ask Welntaod for our exciting SBC experiences...I'd tell you now but I'm sure he'll post about it.

edited to add: I just noticed on arachnequarious's page that you like Miso! yay miso!
