I am using these blogs just like facebook because it seems like that is what this site is trying to be now. I am giving myself 24 hours to decide what I want to do when it comes to this site... But I am posting in hopes that the moderators see it.....
As a model I am passed up for many opportunities on the simple fact that I want to be an SG... It is not respected in the world of photography from what I have come across... I know this is because the old SG however, and I personally love what this site is about, however why change it to something that is gonna make it even harder for models to get noticed. I live in an area where I have to drive a couple hours just to reach a staff photographer and without transportation that makes it difficult. So why change the site to something that will be even more difficult to see what hopefuls are up to, and who is new and hot. I for one am pissed and think I am ready to do anything but SG... I have been patient, active on the site, and responsive to all messages.. However I am finding it very difficult to check and do these things in this new format. So if I cant post, and I cant respond, and being active is a pain... I see no more reason to continue attempting to do something that isnt productive to my modeling and my overall day...
I am open to responses and opinions on my post. however don't give me that not everything revolves around you, and stuff doesn't happen over night crap... I dont think anything revolves around me, and I am nothing but patient with my career. I am simply stating that I am done jumping threw hoops to be something most photogs wont shoot me anymore for being anyways... Ill get more paid work, and better opportunities doing other avenues of modeling....
Its truely a shame though. I love the SG community and what it stands for..
