how's this for the saddest thing ever: my brother is a vet, and he brought home a 10 week old kitten on the verge of being euthanised. only problem is that the kitten was born without back feet [it's got little nubs] and it might have to be put down anyway. 
but anyway, work is going alright, and yeah, i've just felt down about life and this just kinda confirms it.
