oh my god, i just freakin' love samurai saturdays.
i got to watch a couple of akira kurosawa's awesome movies "Shichinin no samurai" and "Yojimbo". both of which totally made my day. it's amazing how kurosawa can create such dark and violent images one minute, and then turn around and have beautifully framed and composed shots, and even good elements of humor.
well, since today's saturday i should probably go out and do stuff, maybe. i dunno, more on that later.
several hours later:
work on the ultra-plush cat structure was at a fevered pitch today.
i missed half of the damn red sox game working on it, insulating and carpeting it. it was tied again going into o.t. ...and well, i heard they won, but didn't actually get to see it.
the whurr of the sawblade [and my friends wrist perilously close to the unguarded business end of an unloaded three thousand four hundred and fifty revolutions per minute. he did so, with such reckless disregard for life and thumbs, that i could only stand aghast watching.
anyway, it was finished, and i lugged it back home, and put it there, and the cat just ran away.
ungrateful....
i dunno, he's probably scared of it. he used to have an old one, but maybe he smells my friends cats on it, or something. i don't really know.
i heard they're funny like that.
well, i'm not laughing.
are you too good for your home?!
oh well, it's been a long ass day, and i think it's time for bed.
*cough*
