Oh baby, I'm typing this from the comfort of my brand new laptop. It's a 14 inch iBook and BOY is it ever fast! I've got the wireless internet happening and everything is working so nicely. I grew up in a very technically slow to adapt family, so we didn't get a computer until I was in the summer of the 7th grade, but when...

I like short and busty too. Not on me though, on other people.

Looks like a fun list to make, but my own procrastination prevents me from doing so... instead I will click aimlessly until I am too tired to stay awake.
I love being short and busty. The short part allows me to get into movies as a child, saving me over 5 bucks. The busty part has allowed me to do all sorts of adult things since I actually WAS a child. I saw Hitch tonight, and it was surprisingly funny and sweet. I didn't have high expectations going in, as it was just a...

Ahh... I love Mike Doughty. His shows are great.
Just a quick little update because I have to scoot myself out the door. I've been wearing my glasses a lot again, and I think I look damn hot. I also got my hair trimmed, so my bangs are looking much more precise. Uh, I'm done Satanic Verses, and it was a really good book. Other than that, I'm looking at getting my navel pierced,...

I am such a huge dork. I get all maudlin because of musical theatre. And not even classic musical theatre, new and fairly unheard of musical theatre. I've been singing "I'm Not Afraid of Anything" from Songs for a New World (Jason Robert Brown... I am SUCH a nerd!) and it's the type of song that makes me sure that I don't ever want to...

Thanks for the bday wishes. I feel surprisingly cheery this morning.

Suck it, New Year's resolution! Since January 1st, I have lost 16 pounds. Pilates and cutting the junk and pop have helped me infinitely. My hands and face are so much skinnier, and I'm littler in the middle, yet my gazongas are the same size. I am tidy as a mother. My CDs and books are categorized and alphebetized in their subsections. I have built...

i had my fist encounter with chuang tzu today, in a second-hand bookshop (my weakness). given i'm rather a fan of lao tzu, it's odd that it has taken me this long.
i didn't have enough cashola to purchase the chuang tzu edition in addition to the other two books in my hand (political sociology and some funny old anthropology text ranting on about 'savages' and 'primitive beliefs' - granted not sidesplitting but nonetheless amusing).
if it's still there on saturday i shall buy it. what are the differences, out of interest, between his and lao tzu's taoism? (he is still a taoist yes?)
sorry. hello. pleased to meet you.
gazongas and pink bunny jammies?

I've officially laundered everything I own and put it away in my brand spankin' new cabinet. It is SO hot. Is it lame that I think that my new ikea furniture is sexy? Yes. Anyway, it's almost up to the ceiling, and it's hardwood with a pole to hang things and two big baskets, with a nice white curtain in the front. It works with...

I had a moment of panic a few days ago when I realized that my period was late, so I went to get a home pregnancy testing kit. Everything turned out fine, but those things are fucking expensive as hell. What gives? Especially when you factor in the cost of the items that you use to draw attention away from the very obvious box of...

My ex from 2 back made me buy all condoms, tampons, and yes, one time a prego test for her. She'd sit in the car and wait because, "They know what I'm using them for!"
It was always good for a laugh. As for me, I'm the guy calling across the parking lot to her, "HEY! WHAT KIND OF TAMPONS?!!!!!"
Which could possibly have some to do with the whole her being an ex thing.

I EFFING LOVE THE SPICE GIRLS!!! *your laughter-here-*
My roasted vegetables turned out very bland. I don't know what it was. I did a garlic/oregano salt rub when they were raw, squeezed some lemon on them when they came out of the oven and tossed them with some balsamic and olive oil, but they were still so blah. Leeks, red onions, zucchini and... wait for it... eggplant. Oh well. I made some bitchin'...

Just can't get enough of that eggplant, can ya? LOL.
I actually totally gave up on trying to make succulent veggies 'cause no matter what I did them in, they always came out bland. I've noticed that spicing them after they are cooked tends to keep the flavour around.
And lemme tell you ... growing up in Scarborough, I kinda led a sheltered life. Going to Scarborough Town Centre was an outing for me.
But when I started dating ... my girlfriends happened to live all over the city (that sentence makes it sound like I had many at once ... which isn't true ... I just can't think of a way to make that sound any better.) so I got to experience it all.
From Main and Danforth to Lakeshore and Kipling to Yonge and Lawrence to Jane and Finch to King and Roncessvales.
I'll completely agree with you hon ... the city is amazingly beautiful.
I adore walking through Bloor West Village. It is such a surreal place for me ... people out walking and talking to everyone they see ... the smells and sound and sights ...
Thanks hon ... thanks for bringing a smile to my face. It's good to know others adore the city as much as I do. *huggles*

Oh - and lemme be your handy guide to posting pics on boards.
Whatever pic you would like to link to, right click the picture, go to properties and copy the location (under image properties) of the picture and then paste it in the box labeled "image"
Voila - your picture has been linked. So now you can link your pretty face to any thread you want.

I have very odd thought patterns some times. Like, I was listening to Soul Coughing the other day, and thinking about porn names. I figure that Ruby Vroom would be an excellent porn name, and that Irresistable Bliss could quite possibly work too, depending on what she looked like, what sort of movies she did, etc. And then I got to thinking that El Oso...

Garden State wasn't that great, it has all the elements that would make it good, but it wasn't that great. Ever seen American Movie? hilarious documentary about a film maker, that's godd for a laugh.
The dance classes sound like fun, I think I want to take a hip-hop dancing class, if they have them. I would be way too embarassed to dance in front of other people, unless I had a drink or two...anyway, have a great weekend. pirate
p.s. you are my fifth friend, sweet...

Mmm curried coconut and pea. Tasty. You have fabulous tasste.
So leek burgers are wicked and pretty simple to make.
You take about 4 or 5 leeks and cut them into small slices, using mostly the tasty bits and not too much of the green. Boil them in salted water just until they're soft then drain them in a colander and really be sure to press all the water out of them. You then mix the leeks with one or one and a half eggs and you can use either boiled and grated potatoes (maybe 2 small potatoes) or bread crumbs as a binder. Then you basically mix it up, mush it into balls, and fry away until crispy. It also helps to put them in the oven at around 375 for 10 or so minutes to dry and firm them up a bit. Voila. Delish. Sorry for the not-so-specifics. I have a hard time sticking to actual recipes.
P.S. Generally when you reply to a post in your journal, you do it in the other person's journal so that they know you replied! Took me a while to pick up on that so I thought I'd pass along the wisdom. Have a wonderful evening.
