Oh baby, I'm typing this from the comfort of my brand new laptop. It's a 14 inch iBook and BOY is it ever fast! I've got the wireless internet happening and everything is working so nicely. I grew up in a very technically slow to adapt family, so we didn't get a computer until I was in the summer of the 7th grade, but when we did, we got a lovely old iMac. Through school and home, I became really accustomed to macs, and when we got a PC a few years ago, I was really confused.

I'm glad to have a mac back. I'm also please to have a computer that I can bring up to my room instead of having to sit in that uncomfortable wooden chair in the dining room. Also, now my cam will show the gorgeous backdrop of my room instead of that messy table. Woo hoo!

My room is really finished now. I've got a cute little mosquito net up now around my bed that just looks so sweet with my cranberry blankets. My Maurice Sendak "Hansel und Gretel" poster is up and I've got a vase of roses on my vanity. The colour scheme is basically tan, cranberry and dark woods. I know it's dorky, but I really like being organized and having a pretty space to sleep and relax.

I'm watching "A Mighty Wind" right now. No matter how many times I watch it, the whole Mitch and Mickey subplot and the song they sing just gets me all maudlin. Fuck that. I'm gonna watch "The Big Lebowski" instead. I'm gonna fuck you up. Excellent. I'll post a bit later, but I'm about to head off to eat and then I'm priviledged enough to be going out to see famous Quebecois singer Gilles Vigneault. I'm really excited,
