message from me to the semester: EAT A DICK
yeah, it's 10 AM and i just killed my last final ever. now i get a nice week and a half off before my last english class starts up. hooray for that.
also hooray for feeling better. everyone i know who had this thought they were better and then got sicker, but i'm hoping that i'm the exception. i've been drinking orange juice like it's my job, and i'm legitimately feeling like this has passed through my system. yay.
rawhead rex and fright night II remind me why the 80's were both an amazing and horrible time to be making horror movies. i mean sure they sucked, but you have to love rubber suits, clay-mation, and pointless nudity shots.
so i met with the guy who i've been helping out withthis cartoon doing character designs and animating this joke he wanted done for st. patrick's day (i think it's still on the site) and he's actually paying me for work on this upcoming animated short. a nice change of pace. i get my rent paid for a month by drawing purdy pictures.
last weekend was way fun. playing shows in the middle of nowhere is always an amazing experience. nothing beats HOMICIDE featuring JOEY HOMICIDE (he used to roady for the ramones, ya know) and his band of chubby 14 year olds. there's something about watching an incredibly fat kid mosh so hard that not only is his shirt ripped off but HIS PANTS COME OFF TOO that makes you feel like everything is going to be ok with the world.
