oh updates updates updates...
hard to keep up with my internet life and real life during the holidays.
x-mas turned out pretty well. got lots of stuff i was hoping for (including a kickass sweater, woot). x-mas eve i went to michelle's parents' house for dinner. when i heard "dinner with my family" i thought it was the 5 or so people that i've eaten dinner with before. he he he, no, this was EXTENDED family. they were all really nice, but it did involve about 8 little kids, the oldest one being 4. ha ha ha, top it off with the fact that someone bought a bag of musical intstruments for the kids and then you have extreme chaos. amusing incident where michelle's older uncle went out back to smoke pot, and then came in asking me if he smelled or weed. how exactly do you sniff an older gentleman at a party without looking creepy? ah well, i made do. michelle's parents bought me zoolander and the shining on dvd, which was super nice of them. i'm excited to watch them.
x-mas day involved running from mom's to dad's and back to mom's. that's been really stressful in the past, but i think it went a little more smoothly this year. at least i didn't make my mom cry, which is always a plus. mykdru (remember him?) tagged along to all of my x-mas outings since he couldn't make it home to his family, and then michelle met up with me at my mom's for dinner, and we all went to go see the return of the king.....ah, soooooo good.
oh yeah, i saw the midnight showing of the premeire of the return of the king, just to show how much of a dork i am. i then went into work an hour late with about 3 hours of sleep.
so i wake up for work on friday and feel like a truck hit me. that feeling has only worsened as the weekend has worn on. i've been trying to take some alleve and random other cold and flu stuff, but i can't get over the crappiness. michelle came over last night at like 6, and we both fell asleep.....until noon the next day....ha ha ha, yeah, i got a bit of a sleep recharge there. i feel better for that, and she's just been taking care of me since then. i feel like a monkey continually thanking her for all the trouble she's going through to take care of me, mainly because i've never really had someone care that i was sick enough to do that kind of shit. so it was very much appreciated.
all right, well i'm having one of my random hot flashes (menopause is a bitch) so i'm gonna go try and cool down. hope everyone had a kickass x-mas, and has a super new year. peace.
