put up a new pic. i thought it was a bit too "hey look i have no shirt on" but an ex-sg with red dreads said it was better than me with sunglasses, so i went with this....it shows off the new tattoo which is all right i guess.
got the tattoo worked on again today for a good 3.5 hours. phew, STILL not done yet. this has sort of blown up from "one day of outlining to no more than 4 hours of shading" to going on 7 hours of shading with still about 3 to go....ah well, it looks badass, which is all that matters. birthday was nice. dad took me out on monday for mexican food...word. then mom, sister, and michelle went with me to get vegetarian chinese food. AHHH why is fake meat the best creation ever? like it's not even like i eat it and wish that i was eating regular meat. it surpasses meat in every way. mmmm. sucks that michelle got some bunk ass mushroom dish that was super bland and crappy - not exactly the best introduction to such a strange restaurant for her.
saw coheed and cambria on wednesday. they played the trooper by iron maiden in their encore song. so fucking cool. why was i the only person that knew the words? indie kids got no culture i tells ya.
new band webpage went up at here although it's pretty empty in content. keep reloading the page to see 3 of the members (including me). haven't gotten around to getting mike and matt's pics up. the intro graphic was my project of last week and will end up being the new t-shirts.
going to great lengths to make myself find things to do in this city. traded in some old cd's on friday night, hung out at the coffee shop in the south side and played pinball, then drove up to an all night arcade and played more pinball. I AM RESCUE 911 PINBALL GOD. i eventually had to walk away from the machine and leave a game up cause you'd win a new game every time. i then played mediocre skee-ball and won a kazoo with my tickets. kazoos = instant fun.
unfortunately, my roommate and i got home to find out that his girlfriend had dumped him. LAME. so i missed out on my office x-mas party tonight in favor of chilling with him. he seems to be doing all right with it - learned some lessons from passed dumpings.
all right, i'm out, time to bandage up the tattoo and get some sleep. someone remind me to talk about my mom and arguments about tattoos later. i'm too tired to type it out now.
