yes, this weekend gave me the chance to get the first stage of my tattoo done. gotta wait till thanksgiving to get it filled in (and to have it blended a little better with my old tattoo, which will also be re-done), but i am waaaaay excited about it even now. eventually i want to get the rest of my arm filled in, but i figured there's no point in rushing it when i don't have a solid design down for that part yet.

special thanks go out to brian, matt george, penny, scott, and julie who all managed to keep me company during the ordeal. it was nice having a posse with me to hold my hand while i sobbed like a baby.

everyone seems to be telling me that it's scary looking, which i don't really get. i had an amusing conversation with an old girlfriend trying to explain it.

me: see how she's supposed to be beautiful? that's the point, her eyes are dead...there's nothing but ugly behind her pretty face.

her: i think maybe the ugly is jealous of the face. it's jealous and wants the face to be ugly, too.

me: ...
