weekend in pittsburgh was way fun - a nice break after school let out. got to see as many friends as i could try and squeeze in to 3 days in addition to doing the mother's day thing with the mom. every year we do the race for the cure that mother's day morning, which is a good time. it helps my mom because a close friend of the family died of breast cancer a few years ago. i don't mind doing it, it's a nice excuse to get outside, but dear lord is it early. nothing beats getting home from hanging out at 6:30 AM just as my mom is waking up and i hear, "we'll be leaving in 15 minutes." so yeah, i rocked sunday with no sleep. the weather held up, with the exception of a little shower early on, so it was nice to be outside for a change.

other than the walk i got to see some other friends. the first band practice of a band i'm starting up back home went very well. i got to see the house i'll be living in starting this summer. i'm torn, as it stands with room choice there is 1 room that is kind of small, or the basement, which is really big, but has some crazy spiders and stuff living down there. i think i'm going to go with the basement and just stock up on spider killer spray and big boots. we'll see how well the landlords clean it up.
