Well it's been a little over 2 months since I walked into studio 203 to produce this album with Kitsch and it's been a little over 18 months since we starting wrtting and pre-production and today, this glorious sunday afternoon we have finished mixing thhe album. 9 weeks of hard slog in the studio with many a bad kebab or cold pizza being consumed. This has by far been the biggest production project I have ever taken on and I think I will look back on this as being the real start to my (hopefully long) career as a rock producer. Thinking back before the whole Concord Dawn thing took off, all I really wanted to do was record, produce and play rock and metal music. Don't get me wrong I love what I do with Matt in Concord Dawn, but this is something I can see myself doing until I'm 60. That's a whole 33 years. Right now we're listening to all the mixes back to put the final seal of aproval on them.
In about 2 weeks (hopefully) I will be flying off to Sydney to master the record with the aclaimed Don Bartley at 301. Kinda funny how we recorded at a studio called 203 and are mastering at a studio called 301 don't you think? I can't wait to go over to see what Don does, after years of messing up other peoples mastering down here I get to see how it's done for real.
I just can't wait!!!

Perhaps you guys could put some samples into something new? That'd be interesting I'm sure.
