OK, so I've just gotten home from having my steroid epidurals for my back pain... Although I know it's going to help with repairing and relieving the problem it was quite 1 horrible experience. They used long needles and an xray machine to make sure they're going to the right spot (which happens to be milimetres away from the spinal cord at the base of my spine). The first one, on my right side, hit the nerve tree coming off the spine. I had been warned that this might happen: "It'll feel like an electric shock." but after the first two 'shocks' came a massive and constant burning and crushing sensation in my right leg. I grit my teeth and took it as best I could and as the Cortisone and local anaesthetic mixture was injected in there was a painful extra pressure sensation followed by a calming release. The left side injection hit the nerve tree once only giving me a single 'shock' that subsided in seconds and the mixture was then injected into that side. The following hour I wasn't able to walk due to the local affecting the nerves to my legs so I was helped to a chair in the waiting room where I recovered enough to carry myself under my own steam.

I'm now at home, in front of the computer, about to kill some Ally scum...
