Oh, Halloween, I love you. Spooky movies, abundance of candy, a real reason to dress up in costume and wear awesome makeup. As if I need a reason, but I do love dressing up. Especially when I can cross dress, because I love dressing up like a dude. What can I say, I go for the laugh.
One of my favorite costumes was Marty McFly. Sadly, there are no photos of me dressed in the coolest dude of the 80s (sidenote: I bought the Lego Deloreon today. SO AWESOME!) My friends joked that I wasn't even in costume, as my typical attire is similar to a lesbian camp counselor (more so then, when I worked at Starbucks and wore khakis and polo shirts). Whatever, I was the most McFly.
Another year, I went my friends Tim and Patti's house dressed as Peg Bundy. Again, no photos. Why?! I guess I wasn't so into taking pictures of myself as I was of taking pictures of my friends (because I do have tons of them)
God DAMN, I wish I had had that leopard print leotard. I still do. I would wear that around my house all day every day.
When I was twelve, years before camera phones or digital cameras were around- or Harry Potter even, I was a wizard with a long long long glittery white beard, wearing my brother's bathrobe. I would consider re-doing this. If only I had a reason or a party to go to. I do, however, get to wear crazy makeup at my Sephora every day now leading up to Halloween. We have theme days! A couple of years ago, I didn't wash my hair for a week in preparation of being Edward Scissorhands, which didn't pan out because of the great snowstorm fiasco of 2011. Grumble grumble grumble. I did still go to one party and quickly pulled off an 80s power bitch with my friend Mike here:

Well, if I can't find something to do around here, I'm not above throwing on my Kermit the Frog onesie and walking down the street to Muppet studios on La Brea. I'm sure there won't be any trick or treaters on my block :(
So there you have it. A Halloween blog by me, written mostly because I love @charmaine and I want her job to be easier :)
