its thursday, and most of the men in my office are out at a conference all day.. this is such a wonderful thing, except guess who gets to do their jobs while they're out?? yep.. that's right.. me.. i'm still accepting the trade off to have them out of view for a day.. we'll see if that changes by the end of today..
i had a really good night last night.. got to spend it with 2 of my fav people and got a homemade dinner and acupuncture.. it doesn't get much better than that.. i finally had a decent nights sleep last night . . finally! i need about 3 more of those, and then i think i'll be good ..
so i scheduled my classes for next term.. i'm gunna be in class 4 nights a week.. um.. why did i do that? lol .. i actually don't think it'll be that bad.. the classes are fun ones
course, i think they're all fun..
ok.. nuff babbling.. check this out...
This is Star cluster NGC 346, its embedded in the largest star forming region in the Small Magellanic Cloud, about 210,000 light-years away (holy crap!). These stars are short lived, but very energetic. Their winds and radiation sweep out an interstellar cavern in the gas and dust cloud about 200 light-years across, triggering star formation and sculpting the region's dense inner edge. It also appears to contain a large population of infant stars. A mere 3 to 5 million years old and not yet burning hydrogen in their cores, the infant stars are strewn about the embedded star cluster. In this false-color Hubble Space Telescope image, visible and near-infrared light are seen as blue and green, while light from atomic hydrogen emission is red.. ooooo aaaaaahh

I like the picture. Very surreal and inspiring to look at in the early AM. And thanks for the little astronomy lesson to boot!
