Punk SAVED my life, how are they going to put this in a news article and say there's songs in punk about killing yourself? Maybe I am listening to the wrong stuff.....either way, SO not fair how much punks are getting shit on these days. ARGH!
At first, the instant messaging was simply a means to distract himself and exchange gossip. But gradually over the summer of 2003 the distraction became an obsession and the instant messaging became an outlet for his resentment and hurt feelings. The subject of suicide edged its way into the conversations, and with the encouragement of one of his online friends, Ryan began to seek out websites with violent, anti-social content, and to download punk rock music that sang of the glory of taking one's own life.
