I made a concerted effort yesterday to finish Stephenson's Quicksilver, a book I had previously given up on due to extreme boredom. I just couldn't get into it at all. Scoff if you like, it's the truth. I hated it at the time. It is a little better now. Or am I more receptive to it now at this point in my life?
On the flip side of boredom, my doctor cancelled my appointment yesterday because she had to go...to the doctor. Frakking figures. Dare I complain? Nay! It meant I got to spend more time with Her. And time with Her is never boring. I am not scared or nervous or un-confident with Her. When She is around, things like Ninja Lightpole Theatre don't sound so crazy; they sound totally possible. Heads turn toward us as we walk. I don't know if She notices, but I can sense it. I think we are resented by strangers for the sheer fun and happies we exude. Neat.
