Well I THOUGHT I would use my cell phones internet connection capabilities but I didn't realize how much is would actually cost me to do so. Apparently USING what you already have increases the price dramatically. So for now i'm taking full advantage of my buddies home network connection. FREE INTERWEBS! I've tried to find a connection around my neighborhood but EVERYONE secures their network, which is obviously a smart thing to do but I figured that there had to be ONE person who didn't know what it meant. Oh well, eventually i'll pay for internet.
Actually, I called Time Warner the other day for a price on what internet service would cost monthly through them... $30. Not a bad price at all I didn't think. However, what DID piss me off was that they wanted to charge me a one time fee of $45 for a technician to come to my house to set it up! Now, i've used Time Warner as my internet provider in the past and never once have I had to pay for someone to come to my house for 10 minutes and set up my internet connection. How does one fathom paying more than one months service fee for someone to come to their house for literally 10 minutes and set up a box with three cords?! I know that I am more than capable of doing so, however, they didn't like the idea of crediting my account $45 to do it myself.
Figures.
Other than that rant I feel that life really hasn't been all that bad. I feel like i've gained so much more insight on life and people and the fuckfaces in it. It really is hard to realize what shit friends you have sometimes, but even harder to let go of those friends because of all the good times you remember with them. Let's hope the New Year's brings a new outlook to some people.
