Morning metal
At some point last week I came across the android app MangaZoo. Awesome app. There's a shit ton of manga to read, so I'm finally getting back to reading some series I haven't in over a year. Reading Baki: Son of Ogre at the moment.
Had a pretty simple weekend I guess. Went to the California Brewers Festival on Saturday with my buddies Donny, Tom and his girlfriend Kelsey. Tom and I are beer geeks, so we got really into the tasting. Had a jalapeno beer that was god awful, haha. Burned my throat. On the flip side, we had an IPA and a Belgian Blonde from the Black Diamond brewery that were easily the best brews of the day. I'll definitely look out for them.
Saturday night, instead of watching the UFC Fight Night, I chose to go to the Boardwalk with my friend Yvonne and see Kittie play. It had been kind of awhile since I'd seen a live band play, so I greatly enjoyed it. Met this chick with a seriously rad mohawk, and I really wished I had got a pic. Oh well. I don't remember the names of the bands that played before Kittie, but they rocked. Kittie killed it of course. Gotta love metal.
Yesterday was spent indoors just enjoying my day off. Continued reading Baki: Son of Ogre, watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off for the umpteenth time, and some episodes of MST3K. Finishing off the night as I do about every Sunday, with Elvira's Movie Macabre. At that's about that.
