toward her inclined like light toward star's

effusions stilled in the warm crook of her arms

settling there,

settling in,

like rivers in their beds, like dust in the light that veins

her arms her flesh a home my days

drown and rise to breath

all these words

for her.

when her

voice breaks my

silence takes on flesh and

moves within a febrile heat her

tongue carves signs in meat that itself

breaths words,

like wordless

sighs the line from hip to thigh, silk furling

a sandy wind her scent like

dust in light, welling up

from that little hollow

at spine's base.

what her

day's speak lining

ear's whorl, like light

weightless lending weight

to body's hollow in space, her voice

the dust one finally lays down in,

warm,

and light.

night explodes in bruise-purple

tangerine effulgence, a soft

dark fruit upon

her tongue.
