I forgot to mention this. Splendideziine has a need for more writers. You don't get paid, but you get :

1) All the CDs you review -- three per week. You do the math

2) When possible -- and it's usual possible with a little advance warning -- tickets/backstage stuff to shows that you agree to write about. Lookie...I met the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and hung out on their bus ans almost got to play Tony Hawk with them and the Liars came in and the singer smooched Karen from YYYs right in front of me. I knew about their relationship before she started publicizing it. You guys love that shit.

3) Experience. Experience. Experience writing for a pretty underground mag. Think about it: you sit here and write all day or you write about the merits of something you love -- music -- all day and either scare away or welcome souls to "art".

Oh, it is a bit of hard work, but really worth it to your souls and you can show all your emo/indie friends how neato you are when you namedrop stuff before it's on the cover of Rolling Stone.

I usually spend between eight and ten hours a week writing these things, but I'm kind of slow and laborious about it. That time also includes listening to them. Ok, maybe less time. Whatev aka Wh.
