Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K.
Things are brewing that I haven't seen or felt in a while. I'm not sure what to think, but it seems good. It's that feeling you get in your heart...I've said too much.
I had band practice tonight, which for me equals two nerds with laptops watching distorted digital video and improvising to the images we see. Isaac is a visual arts guy by trade and has a really keen eye for distortion and when to tranfer digital video 40, not 60 times to analog tape for desired results lol. We later went to Salt Lake and ate Indian food at this little dive. I wanted saag aloo, but you know how it goes. Isaac and I split this dish of veggie stuff and the owner came out and gave us extra rice. i think she saw us as good luck charms because as soon as we came in, the empty reataurant filled up with customers. She told us not to tip her because she likes us too much. Maybe we just looked homeless and frazled. Maybe it was becasue we only ordered one dish and naan between us. Regardless, I'm going there for a buffet tomorrow to support them.
I think I found an apartment today. It has a skylight in the kitchen and it felt comfy, despite the grody furniture that was there. They told me they would move it out. I can finally put in my 1930's mustard yellow metal table that I begged my mom to save from her last move. I will have room for my queen-sized metal bed that I bought in the face of peopel telling me I won't be able to fit it anywhere. My old German dresser is coming too. Yay for my grandpa and his finds at goodwill. Well, the matress is new
So tired. Must sleep and wake up to a surprise that I know will be here int he morning. Do you remember when Agent Cooper (Twin Peaks) said that one has to treat oneself to a present everyday? That's a good plan.
