"frolic in brine...goblins be thine."
I get chills just writing that. Just saw "Ring", the original Japanese version. Yikety yikes and jiminy jillikers. I love how direct it was, focused on reaching a climax rather than the American version that sort of meandered and twisted the plot. Ok, can't talk about it. BOO ARGH
I totally got the moves made on me by an 18 year old tonight. It was girls' night at the home of a friend and i just happened to stumble on it. Me watching "Get Over It" with eight girls ages 17-27. This one asked if I wanted to tag along with her while she and her freind, my best friend's little sister, go hang at "Kyle's house". Um, Kyle is still in highschool. I thanked her and gave here the "I'm flattered" look. I found out later that she is this total cosmopolitan wild grrl who stayed with a family in Belgium as a foreign exchange, got sick of it and left the family to roam the German countryside with a couple of guys she met online.
Ni-zice.
Am I destined to become like the middle aged French guy in "Va Savoir" (actually, fill in the blank with any number of French films) who has the 20 year olds falling at his feet? All the girls near my age are so wrapped up in drama that I couldn't cut it with a chainsaw even if I wanted to.
Ug. *puts on Amelie DVD and dreams...*
Only the fool stares at the finger that points. live it, love it, learn it.

I totally agree with you on the whole 'Ring' thing. I saw the Japanese version first, and I thought it was way scarier. The new one had it's moments, but basically, it was too effing Hollywood. Throughout most of the movie, I uttered "Gimme a break" to myself over and over. SWEET JESUS!!
