Well, Thanksgiving went off without a hitch!
As long as you don't include me nearly passing out from exhaustion a "hitch"!! I came home from work that morning, and immediately started on Thanksgiving dinner. 8 hours of work, and then another 6 preparing dinner, and then staying up another 2 to dine with the family. I was literally staggering from exhaustion.
But, it was good. It was real good! I don't mean to sound cocky, but I have to brag...at least a little.
To give you an example of how good it was, and how much my family enjoyed it, listen to this little tidbit: I did'nt prepare everything, just the major portion. Y'know, the Turkey, Dressing, Dessert, some of the Sides, etc. But my Grandma made some extra side dishes, which were'nt bad at all. But check this out. The rest of it was so good, she actually started insulting her own cooking!!
C'mon! I have to brag on that!!
But now, I'm stuck doing Christmas Dinner as well.
Oh, well. I'll just have to do more prep work ahead of time.
As for the menu...it ended up being this:
Deep Fried Cajun Turkey
Cornbread Dressing w/Mushrooms and Bacon (My brother usually hates dressing and just eats it out of ceremony, but he loved this one)
Creamed Potatoes
Jellied Cranberry Sauce (I would have made my own, but I ran out of time......and energy!)
Pinto Beans (Grandma's)
Mexican Cornbread (Grandma's as well)
Macaroni and Tomatoes (Her's too)
and last but not least.....
Double Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake (This one had everyone raving
)
Ok. Bragging's done! I hope everyone had a Good holiday!
But now the dreaded Christmas shopping has come. Oy Vey! And I still have'nt gotten any of them yet!
That's enought from me. If anyone wants any of the above recipes, just let me know.
Later.

I wondered if anyone listened to me on the radio, too few people said.
No worries about commenting. Love making new friends.
