Sharona1881 is my hero.
Despite her own health issues that she's facing, she came out to help us out last night.
mydogfarted was told that it was a bad plan to bring the girls into the ER and was forced to take them home to deal with them on his own. He knew that I would need help the next day while he was at...

I've had the debilitating runs for days. Can't eat, can't sleep, can barely stand up. Went to the hospital so they could make me stop pooping.
They rehydrated me and sent me home with:

Took the girls for portraits at Sears yesterday. While I am perfectly happy with the pictures I take of them, Sears has better equipment and studio space than I do, and I can't get all the prints I can get from them for that cheap anywhere else. (Seriously a $7.99 no sitting fee package that includes an 8x10, a bunch of 5x7s, 4x6s, wallets AND...

We spent the weekend up North. Hung out with some friends and family.

I hadn't seen my paternal grandparents in over 7 years. My Opa was a bit of a douche many years ago, so I just sort of cut ties. He had a heart attack a couple years ago and it's mellowed him out. He grew up in Germany. He was a member of...

I'd have loved nothing better than to have met both of you at Paddles. There will be other opportunities, I'm sure.

I hope the four of you can take advantake of this beautiful day. I hear that the weekend is going to be cold agan. I'm battling a cold, which may or may not have been partially caused by changes in the weather.

Since you mentioned it in the past, I'd love to take you up on your invitation to visit you sometime when it's convenient. I'm sure I can fit my schedule into yours fairly easily if and when the time comes.

Have a great day.

Not to worry about the house being less than clean. It could never be as bad as Kathy's house. You wouldn't believe it if I described it.

So I found out a few hours ago and I've put off posting because I knew that typing it would make it... "real"
What a world I live in that I can carry on and not be effected until I blog about it...

Grandpa died this morning.
We knew it was coming (obviously if you read my blog a few days ago). I'm relieved that...

Whatever kind of cake it was, she knew what to do with it. I love the way you and mdf are collecting wonderful memories of your girls. You probably won't realize the full significance of doing this until they're fully grown and out of the house.

Everyone I know has one family member that they respect more than anyone else.
For me it's my Grandfather. He was always sharp as a tack and a little bit of a shit stirrer. He loved the art of the debate. He once convinced his neighbors, who he'd been friends with for years, that he was a muslim, and when they were heading home he...

Sorry to hear this. My grandma just passed at 106. It was hard to watch the last few years as her physical health maintained but psychological health suffered. Remember the good times!

Hugs. That day is coming soon for me with my Grandda as well. I feel you lady. Remember the good times and laugh. That's what he'd want right?

I've started to blog about all the sewing I've been doing (and want to do)
I'm very happy I've been able to do this smile

In completely unrelated news. T was wimpering and crying in the middle of the night so I went in to comfort her. She wasn't in her bed. She was under it. I had to drag my daughter out from under her...

What T did isn't unusual. My older daughter used to climb out of her crib and wind up in some strange places too. That was a signal that it was time for us to get her a bed.
wsoxfan:
Yeah, these vendors feel like they can do anything they want because so many people are having financial problems which lead to credit issues. Common sense, like leaving people alone as long as they pay on time, isn't part of their corporate mentality.

I remember when my older daughter moved into a different room on the other side of the house many years ago. She made the usual right turn to the bathroom as she was half asleep and wound up in the kitchen peeing in the garbage can. Annette and I couldn't stop laughing for a good hour.

Isn't raising kids great?
