Hmmmmm... Finally some relaxation. Had to resign from my volunteer job yesterday, and have mixed feelings about it. I've been working with at-risk/street/homeless teens in Portland for a few months now, but it seems I'm a little too open about myself and my background. In my previous at-risk teen work, I'd always just been myself and that was enough. Not so here. The job was a bit confusing from the outset, 'cause I'd understood myself to be an assistant to the director of the program (it's a theatre group), but I was put on the spot to take over as director my first day. That was news to me...

So anyway, that's over, but I think I can still do some volunteer stuff around here somewhere. I need to stick to the performing arts 'cause that's my focus and where most of my talents lie, and I'm sure PDX has enough groups to work with. Interesting experience overall, and mostly positive. I *love* working with raw talent, and I will miss those kids...

Starting to think I might be able to finally join the SG PDX group, but still waiting to hear from Ryan on that (need someone to "vouch" for me). I wish I'd known about SG when it started up, 'cause it just seems to fit. I'm sure someone, somewhere knows the answer to this, so... when did suicidegirls.com go live? I'm curious...
