Ahh…Xbox 360 launch day…
I'll tell ya…there's nothing quite as effective at bringing out some peoples' worst qualities than a video game console's launch date. Case in point: Everything was going quite well at work today; we gave out vouchers to the eager customers who had waited in line for hours beforehand. Things started to fall apart once we opened the store.
Some total bitch saw the consoles sitting out in plain view behind the customer service counter. Worse still, some of the people with vouchers had left early, planning to come back a little later in order to claim their Xbox 360's.
So, here we have this woman threatening our staff with every possible serious threat that you can throw at a retail establishment. Naturally, the manager caved and gave her a fucking console. A fucking console that somebody else had already been promised. What a fucking snake.
You know, what bothers me most about this isn't even the fact that she won in the end (or the fact that she still called corporate to complain even after she eventually got the console). What bothers me is that she was too fucking selfish to consider the fact that she was fucking another person out of the console that they'd waited for hours to claim. Others waited in the cold, and she'd just walked in!
God, it's things like this that make me welcome the end of the human race. I'd gladly look forward to my own end if it meant thousands of people like her dying with me. It may sound a bit extreme, but I absolutely cannot stand such behavior.
