I can't wait for this Saturday!
This will be first show as an owner and I'm not quite sure what to expect.
I am working with one of the wrestlers to help him improve his in-ring skills. The guy can cut a promo and he can work a crowd, but his in-ring abilities are very limited, so he has to be protected. Some of the other owners have suggested to him that he used a more ground 'n pound, shoot-UFC style. I took me asking him to do it for him to actually say he'll do it. lol He's also come up with the idea of wearing gloves like UFC fighters, a stocking cap, and a towel around his neck to look more "legit".
This style will help him out a lot, because it limits what he has to do in the ring. If all you do is use takedowns and submission holds, you lessen the risk that you'll mess something up. He's a great guy and he deserves to be successful, because of his cooperation, so I hope this helps Saturday and he blows everyone away. I'll be watching backstage with my fingers crossed.
In other news, the stupid Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation has fucked me over again. They didn't finish my physical form the last time I was there, so I called and they told me to come in and they'll finish it. I drive a half hour to them to get it done and what do I hear? You'll have to come back Thursday and we'll have someone else do it. Grrr! The hoops I have to jump through to get licensed in Missouri.
I may also be taking over the website for Full Throttle Wrestling. If I do, we'll also get a new forum, so all of you are invited to join it when I get it up and running.
There's also a Flood Fest in my town where they have jon boats decorated like they are actual parade floats. lol I'm thinking of getting in it and doing one with a Pirates of the Caribbean theme for my video store. lol
