you know, when i was a kid, the world ended at, like 10pm.
i went to bed at 930. my mom did. by 10 i was out. if i heard cars driving by, i assumed they were police. or people making late-night trips across multiple states.

i never thought that one of those cars would be some sketchy unshaven guy sneaking into my neighbors house at 1am to borrow a soldering iron. or rollin' to his boys house so they can go to this abandon house to see if they can pry off one of the boarded up windows. or simply just driving around because the night was when they were up.

people like that didn't exist in my head.
people like me didn't exist.

put a stake through my heart.
drag me out of the shadows.
expose me for my useless art.
that just how it goes.
