So after nearly 30 hours of flights, transfers and airport transfers I am finally in London!
I departed Sydney late Sunday night and it was a sweet farewell from my sister, brother and his gf and boarded my plane. I was in a row of 3.... Right next to the toilet...
Yup.
Worst!!
I was on the end thank god. I hate being squished in between people and love to have a quick getaway to step into the isle and stretch when needed. A young girl about my age, mid 20's sat in the middle and an older man against the window. They were super nice and down for a quick chat before we set off.
A few isles up from me however were some toddlers from hell. Little wailers and screamers that didn't let up for the 14 hour flight.
Long flights are hard enough as it is and by the end I was at my wits end.
We were almost at the end of the flight- 1 hour to go and the girl next to me needs to pee. Whilst trying to get out of the chairs and her walking across mine she broke my headphones :( Nooooooo!!!! So devastated.
By the time I got off the plane and to my stop over I was exhausted and drained. I managed to buy a new pair of headphones in Abu Dhabi and set off to my next terminal.
Finally I could stretch my legs out! Here's me being all kinds of classy and laying across the floor of the airport just so I could have a nap!
The second flight I got on I was super blessed :) it was super empty so as soon as those doors shut everyone spread out. Que my awesome excited jazzed face that I could finally stretch out and take a nap with new headphones and no screaming children!
After the second flight it's safe to say I'm so over planes at the moment. As I'm laying in bed typing this I'm still feeling off centre and balance!
I booked a transfer form the airport last minute and the only downside was it was a full car.7 people getting dropped off, and I was the last person to get dropped off. 2 and a half hours in the car before I got to my hostel :(
I'm showered and fresh faced again and totally ready to pass out before having to get up bright and early for my tour starts!
