I'm a little late in posting my blog homework but here it is!!
Last week @lyxzen asked the question "What is the geekiest thing about you?" It took me a few moments to narrow this down into a simple answer. Books.
I am so geeky in so many different ways but one thing that's stands out above the rest is my love for all things books!
One of the first Disney films that I ever watched was Beauty and the Beast (I was 3) and there is one scene in particular that I couldn't wait to see every time I watched it. When the Beast takes Belle into the library and tells her it's hers <3 gets me every time!
It's my favourite Disney movie and I'm sure you've all seen from my sets that I have a huge rib cage tattoo of Belle and the Beast. Lovers' Eyes
My real passion/obsession for books and reading started when I was in my mid teens and I hit those typical "angst" years. I just wanted my own space away from the world and books helped me escape into that place. I would sit in my room for hours flipping through page after page before I knew it 4 hours had passed, I'd read 300 pages and the book was done.
There are some books that completely pulled me in and I've read so many times that the pages are starting to fall out but I can't bring myself to part with them because they are my absolute favourites! Books by Kelley Armstrong and Diana Gabaldon are some such authors who have captivated my mind!
A few years ago I made an awesome purchase and finally bought myself some killer bookshelves. Giant mahogany shelves that are a few feet taller than me and over 3m long. Who doesn't want that library like Belle!!

A few years ago at Christmas my brother gave me a chesterfield tub chair which is the perfect reading chair took with my shelves <3 I finished off my mini library with a side table and now it is my favourite place to relax and read until my hearts content!
For now it's time for a cuppa and to relax with a good book! Gotta love those lazy Sunday afternoons! <3
