This week's blog homework was to be a tour guide to your city! I've lived in Australia (Sydney) pretty much my whole life and while Sydney's city does have some simply stunning and absolutely captivating spots and sights- my heart will always belong in the country.
I spent most of my childhood holidays growing up in Tamworth on my grandfathers farm in a small town called Currabubula. It's no surprise then that Sydney City itself doesn't hold much sway over me.
If you were to travel about an hour out of the CBD though, that's where you'd find me. My heart lives for open sky's and green fields as far as the eye can see <3 <3
Located in Hornsby- Galston, Fagan Park is roughly just over 50 hectares. It was originally used as an orchard and cattle farm by the Fagan family and was later donated by the Fagans to the Department of Lands. The park is is open all year round, 7 days a week, except for Christmas Day.
And can I just say it has some simply stunning views and some of the best spots for portrait photo shoots.
Used on many occasions to hold weddings, christenings and formal photo op's, Fagan Park is definitely high up on my list of sights to see in Sydney!
Travel a bit further West into Sydney and you'll find yourself in the Blue Mountains. You could easily get overwhelmed by all there is to see and do up here! With stunning treks and views the mountains hold it's no wonder you can find yourself a little short of breath!
Wentworth Falls is one such sight within the Blue Mountains.
Another absolutely breathtaking sigh is Govetts Leap Lookout.
There are no words...... There's something refreshing and calming about being outdoors. Time simply drifts away and the hustle and bustle fast paced life that lives within Sydney City stops.
