Doing some research for nice destinations for a trip I'm planning with Mr. C (my bf) I found La Escobilla. It's an unspoiled beach in Oaxaca, Mxico where the largest amount of sea turtles in the country go to lay their eggs. It's a small community that used to steal and trade the eggs, but now they work on preserving the endangered specie. They also work hard on reforesting and protecting the mangrove swamp in the area and they do this with the help of ecologic associations, donations, volunteers and getting resources with their own ecotourism project. You can go camp or rent a cabin by the sea and watch the miraculous event of the egg laying and help the baby turtles get to the ocean, have great seafood, swim and do all kind of fun stuff. Obviously that will be our next travel destination, but I thought I could help them out by spreading the word and give you a cool destination for your next adventure.
