I GOT MY LAPTOP!!!!!!
ok, i'm ridiculously happy about it, it's small and shiny and awesome. i still have to make it "mine" y'know, upload all the software i need and get all my files transferred and everything, and i haven't really had enough time to do it all so i'm doing it in little doses. it's kind of exciting, because i have something to look forward to.
yes, and in the real-people world i went house-hunting with my mother today. it's one of her favoritetist activities, for some reason, to research and find houses in our price range in surrounding neighborhoods and then drive by them. her house has been on the marekt for about a year now, and we're looking for a place that we can live together (i know, i know, but i moved out when i was fifteen, so ten years later i get to move home if i want to, right?). it's exciting and at the same time depressing, because of the absurdity of the housing market in boston. i've realized that unless i marry someone incredibly wealthy i will never be able to afford real estate anywhere near boston and that makes me sad. but we saw a couple of nice places today, and i got the day off work which is extra bonus.
the date is approaching, on monday i will be missing two teeth. not only am i scared, but i realzed that up until this point i have never had surgery, never needed stiches, never broken anything and i have all the parts i came with. after monday i will no longer be whole - the whole me that i've been for twenty four years now....it may sound strange but i kind of liked the idea that i had all my parts. oh well....next i have to get a mole taken off my collarbone, and that's even more sad because it's my little friend and i like it.
