for the first time in a very very long time i went out last night. it was extrodinarily exciting, even just the fact of not having homework or work or being generally exhausted with life. went to see a show in central sq. - the kings of nuthin' who are fucking incredible. good old fashioned rock/punk/good music, high energy and they guy playing the washboard (yes, the washboard) is fucking great to watch. anyway, even though they're local it was the first time i'd managed to make it to a show, and it was so worth the sold out drunkenness. although the night ended absurdly enough in an emergency room. no one was hurt or anything, although a six five three hundred pound drunk kid fell over on a tiny little punk chick....
no, what happened is my friend in his relentless goodness has been half caring for an active alcoholic who was recently kicked out of his house, and said drunk proceeded to get very and then threaten to kill himself after we told him he couldn't stay with us after that night. then he started insulting me, and well, my friend doesn't take kindly to that so we ended up treating his threats seriously and taking him to the emergecy room for psychiatric counseling.
anyway, today i'm very tired and cranky, and still sick. oh well, it can only go up from here. and at least hte kings of nuthin' were fucking fantastic.
