Good grief, what a week.
Last week, had to work on Friday from like 11am until 3am. Bleagh. My boss worked probably at least five more hours than that, though, so it's not like he was asking me to do something he didn't do.
I've been reading more and more about the torture bill in the news, and it horrifies me. My wife and I have been considering having kids, and the direction this country is going is so frightening it works as birth control. I can't stop thinking of politics, and it just gets me more upset every hour I do it.
We just bought a house a few months ago, and despite my grousing, I do like my job. I would love to move us to New Zealand if I could, though, just do get away from the majority of idiots in this country.
Oh, and my Chicago White Sox got eliminated from contention this week. Pisser! Oh well, we're in the grace period. Thanks to them for a great season last year, and an experience I will NEVER forget.
