I think it's safe to say my nodules have returned. Smoking copious amounts of cigarettes and talking way too much (often not willingly) has led me here again. My voice sounds so tired, not like that of a 20 something female, more like a 50 something individual of unspecified gender (a damn hot and husky one at times though, I might add!)

My concern is we have a gig next Friday. We haven't had a single rehearsal since the gig in May and I am beyond unprepared. This morning, having listened to myself talking to users on the phone, I decided that if I can barely string a sentence of speech together, singing two 45 minutes sets in succession is just not going to happen. I am going to cancel the gig. I am going to finally give up the damn cigarettes (support me, help me, for I am weak and I love The Nicotine). I am going to look after myself a bit more. After all, I think I deserve it.

In other life news I guess I am plodding along as I usually do; Being mildly hostile, very intolerant and emotionally retarded. All with a smile though, of course (and the occasional make shift full face balaclava - a physical manifestation of the invisible barriers I am so keen to maintain).

Did this just get deep? I really didn't mean for it to. Apologies.

This weekend holds a whole new world for me. A weird one. New family members will be met: A (half) sister. An almost brother in law. A nephew. I do not have a particularly good rapport with children. Hilarity will undoubtedly ensue...

Lots of traveling. Never static. Just how I like it.
